It needs to be asked. Did you like the season or not and why?


I liked it for a while. It had Scyther and Lapras. The game badges were a bit more fun than the traditional battle badges. I think it was somewhat important because Ash caught his Snorlax and got Charizard to obey him. It could have happened elsewhere, but it was still good. I'd rather have it happen in the Orange Islands than in Johto.

I did not like the season. Personally I found it to be the least entertaining season by far. I think some dude named Rudy even proposed to Misty? WTF? THIS IS POKEMON!

For me, this series half died during the Orange Islands, and completely died when Ash, Misty, and Brock separated. The only interesting thing about the Orange Islands was when Charizard almost froze to death. That's it. Once the three original characters split, I stopped caring about the series completely.

I may be in the minority here, but I generally liked the season. I liked Tracy and Lapras and the gang surfing around places (kinda like Wind Waker). I really loved how Ash actually won for once. He got the 4 badges and beat the leader dude at the end with the Dragonite. I did not expect that. In retrospect, that was filler, but I liked it. After that though...meh.

Personally, I enjoyed the Orange Islands. I should probably go re-watch this portion as it has been a while. Although, there are other parts of Pokemon I should be watching to catch up or whatever despite disliking the dub change. If I were to go back and watch the season now, I probably wouldn't be as fond of it as I was when I was a kid. I loved the first two seasons and I thought the orange islands was well made (except for Brocks abscence with Professor Ivy.

I liked the Orange Islands saga a lot actually. It was different, made Ash mature some, while also letting him win something besides badges. It was a bit of a downer that Brock left and might have been psychologically tortured by Ivy, but Tracy was a barely acceptable filler.

In general this was a pretty good part and i wouldn't mind beating a game that centered around this
