News is, there's is going to be a new Sonic game.
This time, no werehog, it will be what people want, like Unleashed but just Sonic stages.
The gimmick? Aliens that give you different powers depending on their colour.

"Sonic Colors sees Sonic accelerating to adrenaline-pumping super speeds and blasting through obstacles in ways never before seen in a Sonic game. The alien Wisps featured in the game each have a unique “Color Power” that, once freed, Sonic is able to absorb while speeding through the various theme park inspired planets. The Wisp energy enables Sonic to create new paths through the stages by drilling through the ground (Yellow Drill) for example, or speeding through the stage as a laser (Cyan Laser). Stringing the Wisp power-ups together creates a combo that increases Sonic’s boost gauge even more quickly. Exclusive Wisp power-ups will be available for both Wii and the Nintendo DS versions, ensuring a unique and super speedy gameplay experience for Sonic fans everywhere."

Meh. I think its kinda interesting, and I think my friend might get it, but... hmm...
Seems interesting. Either Sega is really brave, or really desperate for a good game.

I'm honestly pretty hopeful for this game... if it's going to be Unleashed with out the werehog, I'm in(I've never actually played Unleashed but I've been wanting to only for the day levels since I heard those were great.)
I like how SEGA's really going back to basics now... until they can come up with a legit, deep good story, they can stick with the simple ones for now. That's how it was before. "Robotnik capturing little alien creatures?" Sounds like the old Sonic games to me(save that they're aliens and not animals XD) Hopefully this'll be the first 3D Sonic game to have no major flaws...

tails the fox : Yeah but some thought they had camera problems, so I'd say that that's a flaw. And I'd agree, there were times when the camera can be somewhat unforgiving...
The daytime levels from Unleashed were flawless from my understanding, as no one really dissed on those and said something was wrong with them.
Now, if this next game is going to be Unleashed without the werehog, and there might not be a weird cheesy story, then I think it's going to be the first without major flaws

I have high hopes but I most certainly expect disappointment...

But who knows, maybe Sonic can bounce back...

What the?! What kind of game mechanic is this?! No. Forget Sonic colors. I have no intention of picking up this game unless it is nothing like what I'm expecting.

bignatealpha : Well, might I remind you that Sonic 3 had powerups, and that game was absolutely wonderful. I loved Sonic 3 and Knuckles, I only wished it was somewhat longer...
I can only hope that it would be like a 3D Sonic 3 and Knuckles XD

I'm sure webe fine as long as sonic doesnt turn white and red and start spewing fireballs that bounce.
