What's up with thus movie that's coming out tomorrow called Nerve? I have been seeing the trailer for it for months now and have been both creeped out and amazed by it. The movie looks like it can be very thrilling and apparently it's based on a book that was really good? Plus it has Dave Franco in it so it might be good.

What do you think of the movie? Is this your kind of movie and do you plan on seeing it or do you plan on staying away?

I have mixed feelings about the movie, but it's some thing I'd like to see eventually in my spare time. I'm not going to go out of my way to see it though.

One the one hand, it looks like it could have a lot of potential for a movie with a ton of suspense. The trailer shows ( one of ) them blindfolded on a bike trying to hit 60 MPH, and the one guy hanging from a rafter 10 + stories dangling above the street. If the writing is well done, it could really turn out to be a good movie, especially with how they could play the hidden organization who runs the game behind the scenes.

On the other hand, my cynical side is more inclined to believe it's going to be just another typical movie aimed at teens that just isn't any thing special what so ever. I'm by no means a movie critic, but I've seen way too many titles get a ton of hype like this one has, only to be extremely let down by the actual film. For instance, the trailer could literally include every exciting moment the movie contains, and the rest of it being them trying to figure out who's controlling the game, or some thing that's just plain boring to watch.

I agree with you that it having Dave Franco is a plus though lol.

Eh, honestly I have only seen a couple of trailers for this thing, so I don't really have too much of an opinion, but it did certainly catch my eye, so I'll put some of my thoughts down.

From what the trailers show, if that means anything, really, it looks like it will end up being a pretty awesome movie that pans out well, gets good reviews, and in general pleases everyone. Maybe it will actually step out of the standard plot lines that basically every movie follows now.

But at the same time, I'm a little skeptical. This thing could turn out to be a blow, with way too much advertising that, in the end, amounts to nothing more than an initial surge in box office tickets before the reviews come out and people begin warning their friends or family that the movie sucks, and I see a good deal of potential for that outcome, too.

Not sure how true that stands, but I doubt it'll win any Oscars.
