This is a question I actually like to ask people.  It lets you know about how they think about life.  Basically the question is, there is a cup.  It is half full with water, and the other cup is filled with air.  How do you see the cup, half full, or half empty?

I remember asking my grandpa this, and he said that there wasn't enough XD

So how do you see the cup?
It does not matter about the level of intelligence. It matters about the level of determination.

I think it's both half full and half empty. It can't be half full if it's not half empty.

That just means, life is a mix of positive and negative things, and you can't define something as positive if it has no opposite, or if there's no negative to compare it from.

 most of the people in my family are negative so I cant help but to be like them. I was raised that way.

There has been plenty of times where I was completely happy with how things are but if I had just exercised a little more awareness and confidence I could have made things even better. In bad times its even more important to step up to the edge and use our agency to make the choices the simply being aware and present can give you.


Also, I fixed my messed up post, it can be a test of patience posting here with a phone instead of a proper computer!

I just think the cup is at half of its capacity, neither half full nor half empty because half full would suggest that you always have a positive outlook on life and I don't think anybody can stay that way forever and I would be a hypocrite to claim I could, if I said half empty it would suggest that I am always sceptical and find it hard to see good in people which is not true either. The fact that I went for neither shows that I evaluate things based on their merit without any bias either way.
