I have only really played one Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64.
I thought it wasn't that great and proceeded to return it for a better game.
The series hasn't really ever interested me.

I think Mario Kart Wii is good game,because it's got some new characters.Like Rosalina,Funky Kong,Baby Peach,Baby Daisy,and Dry Bowser.Also,it has some of my favorite retro courses.

But don't think for a second that this latest iteration isn't still a stellar kart racer -- even after over 15 years of facing contenders to the karting throne, nobody does it better than Nintendo -- but series vets need to prepare for regression. While 2003's Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GameCube) took daring risks with the formula by adding two-man vehicles, character-specific power-ups, and co-op play, this sequel regrettably jettisons all of those enhancements. Now, it's clear that those radical innovations weren't all popular among the vast legion of Mario Kart players, but they added tremendous depth and facilitated high-level gameplay for those who wanted it.
Mario Kart Wii feels highly reactionary, as if Nintendo willfully sought to dumb down the driving mechanics in order to even the playing field for the masses. Bundling the game with the plastic Wii Wheel contraption reinforces that commitment to democratizing gameplay: Sure, nongamers will get a kick out of careening around the course via tilt controls and gesticulations, but you'll find yourself haphazardly oversteering. The wheel isn't necessarily your enemy, though. It's solidly constructed and comfortable; players who stick with its motion-controlled driving for a few races will eventually acclimate to it. But of the game's four control options, the Wii Remote-and-Nunchuk combo clearly works the best: It's the only way to get both familiar analog stick steering and the freedom to easily put the crucial new trick system to use with the Wii-mote. Plus, this new split control setup feels perfectly suited for the newly added motorcycles, allowing you to make tight turns while launching weapons and landing tricks with ease.

I prefer Mario Kart 64, because I think it really set the bar for future Mario Kart games. Plus, the Rainbow Road of the N64 version is one of my favorite versions of that course.

Mario Kart Wii. I used to be in love with Mario Kart 64, but then I play the Wii version and I couldn't go back. The tracks in MK64 were just starting to bore the hell out of me because they were so tedious.

I voted for Super Mario Kart, just because i played id waaaaay to much as a kid and could drive the rainbow road without breaking at all and just drove it perfect hahaha ( and also when you are drunk or drugged, the rainbow road on SNES Mario Kart gives you a unique experience, which doesn't mean you should do drugs or alcohol !!! Those things are BAD ! xD ).

I also think that Double Dash has the best and funniest Multiplayer experience i know.

But my alltime favourite : Super Mario Kart for the SNES !

This one was a toss-up between Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart Double Dash for me... I guess the addition of bikes and the larger selection of characters and stages pushed it in Mario Kart Wii's favor in my opinion (also my vote put Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 64 in a tie! )
