mohammedroxx3 : I always try to make the top 5 or 10 in every VCS so you can say that I'm sorta competing.

It might not come in the near future but the possibility of you getting an Elite status is good for the future.

I'm definitely one of those who found a second home here at vizzed.

Did you ever imagine your site could affect so many people in such vast ways?  I remember when a failed student first told me that my class was his favorite... it utterly shocked me. He went on to tell me that he learned things like patience, organization, and study skills.  As a brand new teacher, those things had never occurred to me, and every day since then, I can't help but marvel at the way teachers affect their student's lives.  I've become very aware of how every choice I make can make a difference in some child's life, and it still is pretty hard for me to fathom or get accustomed to.

I imagine you feel the same way about vizzed and its inhabitants?  Does it always feel like a new realization?

Singelli : I never thought vizzed could affect so many people but it has always been a dream of mine for that to be the case. I want users to feel comfortable on the site and to be able to expose their problems to the users of this site without feeling as if they'll be picked on for sharing it.

Teachers have some of the biggest influences on kids I think and that's why it's so important for teachers to take their job seriously. Kids believe everything teachers say too which is why so many students believe in evolution, they believe their science teachers more than their own church (I'm not blasting teachers but just using that as an example to get my point across).

I realized a few years ago that I probably do have a big influence on a lot of lives and that I need to set a good example and be like a role model. Actually that's the way all of the staff should think because all of the staff have a big influence and should be setting good examples. In the early years of this site, I wasn't as "mature" as I am now. There were times when I swore and said things that I shouldn't have but being part of this community has helped me grow and mature and I hope that same thing happens to other users as well.

It's hard for me to comprehend how users view me. I remember the sites I use to use when I was a lot younger and I remember how I use to view the owners of those sites and how I use to view the staff of those sites. There some certain people I looked up to and some people who made me feel very inferior. It's just weird to think that the way I use to view the people I looked up to is the same way that some people may view me now because I sometimes feel like just another member of the site even though I own and run the site lol.

Davideo7 :  I wasn't expecting one, but I definitely was hoping for one.  

I never knew your original hopes for the site extended beyond the fun of the RGR.  I definitely think that vizzed has.... one of the BEST manned staffs I've ever seen.  I just.... I can't tell you how much I am awed by the kind, mature, and helpful people you've managed to recruit... and all without pay!  It's amazing to me that you are able to manage the people that work here, so that the working 'clique' is professional and comfortable.  I don't know how you do it... but I commend you for it.

I agree with what you say about teachers too.  I have to be really... really careful with what I say, because something that I might not view as having an impact..... might make all the difference in the world.  I guess, as you have experienced, that being a teacher offers a whole new perspective... one in which you can reflect back to what it felt like to be a student...

I definitely think you're unlike other site owners though. You FEEL like a member of the site, and not just some digital prison bar that overlooks the pawns using his site.

Singelli : Remember, Vizzed started as a forum before it expanded into having the Retro Game Room.

I am amazed at what the staff do for free, I can't thank them enough. I get a lot of praise but they deserve just as much (and that of course includes you).

Davideo7 :  I know it started as a forum, but I've always seen you as someone who dreamed of having a gaming site.... as in..the RGR was the manifestation of that dream.  Am I wrong on that?    Even if you never dreamed of something like the RGR, it's just hard for me to imagine you as having been interested in something other than .... well, what vizzed currently is.

And awww.... that's so sweet of you to say.  Kinda made me smile inside.  ^.^

But as the head of vizzed, whatever we do is only a reflection of your leadership.
