I liked class discussions...

they beat writing notes or reading. And quite often you would learn more in the class discussion than at any other time. Not "test" stuff.... but real learning.

I didn't like it too much in high school. They were boring. But the ones in my later college courses are really interesting. One of my classes this semester is a methods course called 'Teaching Biology in High School and Middle School'. It is about 95% discussion, and I absolutely love it. It is a small class though. Only 8 people in it.
