The one for me would be when Lelouch died. It was so sad because Nunally was all sad and left all alone. Even though she hated her brother towards the end, she still loved him very dearly.

For me there are two deaths I've seen that really stuck with me.

One is when Takahisa dies in 11eyes. This one wasn't so much the death (which is offscreen), but the circumstances around it, and the scenes after it. Basically, he loses control of his powers, and the girl he loves has to kill him at the end of the episode. The sad part for me was at the start of the next episode, when she holding a picture of him, and crying and apologising in her sleep.

protagus D ace is just come on he just gets freed has a bad ass back to back fight helping luffy protects him then wham all luffys hard work to save him down the drain I cry now when ever I think about it and school bores me enough to start thinking about one piece and because of my memory its all there in graphic detail a fist of magma threw the chest internal organs burning up dyeing on his brother right in the kids arms smiling after luffy went threw hell literally to try and save him you cant get any worse then that when you rember ace was luffys last living sibling after sabo died when they were young

For me is when Jaraiya died in Naruto Shipuuden . The bond between the two
was so special. It surprised even me that I teared when I saw how Naruto

I think the saddest anime death was from Naruto, Hinata's death at the end of the pain arc brought a tear to my eye because of all that was left unsaid between the two of them. But I don't know if it counts because she comes back like four issues later. The runner up for me would probably be Ace D. Portgas from One Piece. Before Ace's death I didn't think One Piece had it in them to kill a character, I mean even minor villains would make a couple repeat visits.

For me? I'd go with Dark Signer Kiryu's death in YuGiOh 5Ds. I mean, he died in his best friend's arms!

One of the saddest anime death's in my opinion is when Asuma is killed in battle in Naruto Shipudden. It was really sad the way he died, and even more sad that Shikamaru took it hard because he was not able to save Asuma.

Excluding Anime most people have heard of, (Naruto Shippuden, Dragon ball Z, Bleach) for me it would be when Yuno dies. She became one of my favorite Anime characters and  it really does not help how at the end of the finale they do not get everything in from the Manga. It would have only taken one or two more minutes to add in.

I freakin' bawled my eyes out when Piccolo sacrificed himself for Gohan, Gohan was the only human he was really bonded with, and to add insult to injury he has to jump right in front of him and makes sure the blast gets him only.... I'm surprised I didn't break my computer because of all the tears I cried. I remember my dad said, " Kyle, your mom stopped cooking us dinner? Very good thread. Its hard to say. Its a cross between goku In GT. Not going to say witch episode cuz I don't want to give any thing away If ppl haven't seen it but If you have you know the one. It was so sad It made me cry. And I thought the death of Asuma sensei by the Akuatski in naruto was really sad as well it made me cry also. Both were very heart felt deaths. Another was when piccolo sacaficed him self for gohon. All very sad deaths. And very captivating episodes. Its amazing how heart felt the story can be but to feel sadness In the death of these character's  is a heart with great compastion and with great goodness in side.
