I'll be moving into an apartment in the coming months, so I'm currently saving for some furniture that I can fill the rooms with ASAP. Gotta be able to accommodate guests and all as I'm sure my old friends will want to come up to visit more often now that the place I'm staying at is "my own". Money isn't tight at all since all I've been doing is saving while I live with my parents in this economy (lol), but I still try to budget everything on a per paycheck basis.

Make sure you look carefully for Furniture so you'll be getting your money's worth. My mother just replaced her Lazy Boy and we don't have a classic style recliner we now have a reclining chair with a remote control recliner (even my dad isn't happy with the new bed that was bought for me more than a year ago but I told him I was in more of a hurry than he was (I really needed a new mattress)

and now I need to consider saving up for a new under desk elliptical (or a Cubii or whatever it's called I can't even remember if it was a Q at the start) I don't think the days on my current one are numbered but it's best that I prepare

We could say I'm not currently saving now xD

I need to get some new things, both for me and my home, so I won't have the chance to save for anything. After that, there's really nothing specific I need to save for, I'm not yet sure we'll go anywhere for holidays this year and any other plans are already for 2027 at its earliest.

Maybe I should start saving for the engagement ring, but that could actually end up being cheaper than expected thanks to some machinations (all legal, no worries here). Still, just in case and definitely being a one-time only thing, I will save for it and if unused those savings can go for the next step.

I think the next thing I save for may have to be for a recliner in the basement because the footrest won't really stay up and in place anymore. We've had it since 2012 and even though my parents aren't in a rush and I have mostly finished my movie viewing journey, I hate fighting with this thing, I feel like one of these days it's going to throw me off and even worse my laptop will suffer for it with me.

It may be kind of lame, but I need a new mattress. I have had the same full sized one for about 5 years now, and it is time to upgrade. I am taller and have added a person to my sleeping arrangements and it is finally time to take the plunge and buy something kind of nice that won't hurt my back anymore lol.

I'm currently saving up for an upscaler for my retro console collection - likely going to be the RetroTink 4K CE. A lot of my collection doesn't use HDMI so I have "middle men" converters in between, and most of these "middle men" only support one or two inputs so at this point I've got quite a lot of them... and so it's kind of a wiring mess behind my cabinet, and even with an HDMI switch I'm running out of HDMI ports. The RetroTink should allow me to conglomerate all of these into a single device with a single HDMI output, and also get some decent upscaling out of it... it's just not cheap lol.

I am also thinking about saving up for a second monitor instead of using my laptop as a second screen, I do not want to damage the screen if I am not using it much. And also, a second monitor would be bigger than my laptop screen since I would maybe get the same one I mainly use, but the non-gaming version since I do not need 200Hz on a screen I am not gaming on.
