I'm thinking of putting together a "Top Contributors" section in the 'Information' column that appears to the right of most site pages (you have to click 'Info' at top right on mobile devices).

This would basically show the overall top contributors for the section of the site you're on, as well as the top contributors in the past 30 days and/or past year. The info would be a little different depending where you're at. If you're on the RGR index page, it'd show top contributors for all of the RGR. If you're on a game page, it'd show top contributors of that game page. The info would be based on Contribution Points.

I wanted a way to highlight the users of the site who have made this community and its content possible and this seems to be the best way. It'd almost be like a Hall of Fame for each section of the site.

Does something like this seem worth implementing? Honestly would be less than 8 hours worth of work.

As one of the top contributors of this place my opinion can be seen as a little biased, but even so I do think it's worth being added.

The work in many areas beyond the boards can go unnoticed by the majority, and unless you actually check that person's stats on an individual basis you can't properly gauge how active they are. With this shortcut we can quickly deduce who is being active and where, a feature that would have served right in other times and reduce strain on keeping an eye on staff quotas (should they ever come back).

This feature would also show who has great expertise in certain fields too, which can allow newcomers to know who they can go to for help, for example. And who knows, maybe we can spark some friendly rivalries to be among the highlighted top, which would be a very healthy form of activity right now.
