It really disappoints me at how little people truly even log on these days, it's almost depressing, there's an average of 5 people per day who still come on, unless I do some advertising to keep this place alive, we may be in trouble Let us hope that we can get the site to be a bit more lively again, afterall, this is a place I treasure quite a bit.

There are many factors that caused this, the removal of Ninty games, David needing a job to sustain both the site and his family, while the site is still trucking which is amazing, it will be like this for awhile.

Although yeah, in the past few years, Vizzed has seen a huge drop in activity, mostly because of multiple reasons related to the games in the RGR were removed, and combined with the site experience quite a few bugs that it annoyed the members and left, and the poor performance from the staff.

Although like tRIUNE said, in the past few months, Vizzed has sightly increased activity, but not really a whole lot though, but the plans that David has planned out, it may hopefully bring back a whole lot more traffic, but at this point, it would be a tough move though because most users that left moved onto bigger and better things.

Wouldn't you think locking threads would be a problem as well? I mean there are a ton of threads that have potential of being active, or bring some sort of conversation that are just locked now. I think that is another reason that this place is very quiet.

Vizzed still turns a profit I think so it's not considered dead at all. The forum is another story, it IS dead. No way to fix it I don't think unless you got some really dedicated members who want to post. I joined this site when I was like 17, I'm almost 31. Those people in that age range since I have joined have moved on with life... they are adults now and this site is mainly targeted towards children. Plus David isn't really a quitter, he will keep it going. Me, I quit stuff if it's not going anywhere

i guess i'll throw my 2 cents into as to why (from someone who doesn't frequent the site often). Mostly because, for people like me who came here back in its heyday for the roms simply just.. well they kinda move on in life, they go to college; get a job, start a family,and even though this site boasts over 600k users most are probably just trying to live a normal life since it's rare to stay on a site your whole lifetime, of course by word of mouth people may eventually find this place and enjoy but i feel for david since he's the one keeping this site alive and the mods for having it be their duty to at least fix the site in anyway possible. I don't see the site dying right now because in general it's the same as many other sites with a dedicated userbase. Maybe i'm just optimistic but i don't really know.

As long as this site still manages to stay cost-neutral I wouldn't expect it to be a huge deal, nor would I expect it to wither away. As long as it's around and I can still play stuff, that's good enough for me.
