pokemon x : Oh no, I'm all but free to play on all my games. At most, I plan on buying GSSR this year on FGO and I buy the $5 monthly pass on Genshin and Arknights. Beyond that, I won't buy anything unless they run like an 80% sale. I've put absurd amounts of time into the games, but I definitely won't whale on pulls. I generally like free to play grinds, though. They have to be particularly bad for me to lose interest for a lack of a sense of progress.

This is all really going to depend a lot on how we qualify what "optimism" and "pessimism" mean. I think The best thing I could do would be to just describe my approach rather than try to figure out which term applies more. I'll leave that to your discretion.

I have been referred to as a pessimist for a long while now by a good many, and for simplicity's sake, I'll often claim myself to be top of my class in that area. I will, as others have called it, overthink everything into the ground. I can almost without fail come up with a list of things that could go wrong in any scenario and a number of reasons why. A lot of people don't like that.

It's not as though I want to be right in these scenarios, though. And it's not as if I do it to spite anyone for their positive mental attitude. What I believe I offer is balance to what I believe to be unchecked willful thinking. Where I can come up with no end of potential points of failure, many others will simply choose not to consider them, and I believe we get much more clarity in the big picture with that. Every potential point of failure I point out, every concern and doubt I express, is to the end of preventing that problem before it happens. Every so-called negative outlook is a flag raised in a place lacking a contingency plan.

To summarize, I think I would say that an amount of my hypervigilance is overall healthy for the probability for success of a plan, which I view as a positive thing.

There was a time not so long ago that I made claims that mobile gaming just isn't gaming, and that I would verbally tear down with every breath I took, gacha systems in games. Well, I'm here to eat my words.

After watching several of the Fate animated series and enjoying nearly everything about the Fate universe, I got into Fate/Grand Order and have only missed a handful of daily logins in well over a year and a half of play. I also got into Genshin Impact at launch, took a break, and came back and have been playing daily for a long while, and also picked up and put a lot of time into Arknights. I've discovered I really like gambling, even though I will probably stay far, far away from casinos unless I'm playing for pennies to take advantage of unlimited drinks. It's probably a really good thing casinos are illegal in Tennessee.

How about y'all? Anyone fall into gacha hell? I could see about freeing up space in my friends lists in the games I mentioned and we could add each other for support characters.

I'd tag them but I don't remember how.

I've had some slow patches the few weeks, actually. I mean, it's not like we have a great package or anything. We've got probably the second cheapest service we could get. But it's still been a little slower at times than it used to be, and we're not in a particularly dense area or anything.

I guess it could be attributable to infrastructure. We've had a few windstorms and a couple tornados over the last couple months, so it's possible stuff's shaken loose. Feels like the timing with areas being shut down is too close to be coincidental, though.

This is easily one of the better jokes. I really got a kick out of the distorted usernames. I wasn't aware one could screw around with it that much.

I'd like to go back and platinum Zodiac Age as well, but the amount of grinding is unreal. The furthest I've gotten in the original PS2 version couldn't even get me along in the lower levels of the Pharos. I'd completed most hunts, but I just couldn't make my way through those lower levels. The best grinding spot I'd found was that hill in Nabreus where all the skeletons spawn. I'd managed to rig it up where I could leave it alone and have it auto grind, but with the introduction of the job system, I found it a little more difficult to be able to leave it alone since I couldn't give every character healing magic. Unless I'm remembering wrong.

Is that the best grinding spot and method or is there better?

So coming back to this, I was wondering what everyone who's seen it thought of season 3.

I thought it was really good up until episode 9 rolled around. I'll do my best not to spoil anything and I'll also refrain from being terribly descriptive. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not so much of a stiff that any kind of suggestive or mildly sexual content is a deal breaker, and it even made some sense in the context it was used. It would've been fine if they'd toned it down some. Instead, they basically made half the episode soft porn. The extent to which they illustrated was way, way beyond what was really necessary and overall took away from the narrative in my opinion. In fact, it was graphic enough that I really can't say I recommend it that strongly anymore without heavily advising discretion.

What's y'all's take?

I'm replaying through Fire Emblem Awakening since I didn't finish it the first time around. I've never been a huge FE guy, but replaying it, I'm finally figuring out basic tactics and planning approaches and defenses before the battle starts. Also relying less on tanking with OP characters and training my whole party, taking advantage of both first and second lines and everything. Stuff that should've been obvious from the get go, but I've never claimed to be one with a flair for the obvious.

I think I wrote one years ago and it's not very good. I thought I'd experiment a little with it but I'm not much of a writer. I've recently considered giving it another go but I have a hard time putting into words what I like about a game without having someone to discuss it with.

And here I was thinking I'd made good progress after achieving my seventh... I have a *lot* of catching up to do.

Only guessing based on the setting and outlines of the characters and everything. I haven't actually played the game, so I might be way off.

Is it Just Cause 2?

2020 hasn't been very good to me, but the year's young. I may yet make something of it.

I would up missing this one, but I'm gonna try and make the next one. I've gotta see if I'll even be able to manage parkour since, still on the same setup before, I'll be getting a fair amount of lag and some pretty bad frame drops. Still, I'll see if I can make it work

Currently enjoying lemon tea. Been having stomach problems for a long time, but I find tea actually helps quite a bit in that area. Also seems to make me hungry if I don't have much of an appetite.

I looked into how to go about cold brewing tea yesterday and I plan on trying that sometime.
