Did y'all know Italian write their ordinal numbers with the same symbol we use as a degree sign?


I was also thinking about how we reduce unstressed function words to enclitics a lot. Like for "It is", we come out with "it's", and with "is not", we have "isn't", and then we have larger phrases, we have either "it's not" or "it isn't", and they both valid. So why not condense that further? Why can't we make "it is not" a so much smaller word like "it'sn't"? How about "It would not have"? "It'dn't've"? I don't understand why those aren't valid.

EDIT: I also like how English lost its original second-person plural personal pronoun, and then different dialects innovated new ones from combining new words. In the southern regions of the US, there's the infamous "y'all" from "you all", but I learned not long ago that, in the northeastern regions of the US, such as the New England area, some apply a regular plural suffix for "yous".

I suppose it's hard to find a balance with these kinds of things because it'll either be very obvious or very vague. I'd probably come much closer to recognizing controllers than consoles because I don't have a lot of the older, relatively less popular consoles. That's just me, though. I'm sure we've all got different eyes for different details.

Boy wouldn't I like to know. I'm zoned out more than I am in every day. On auto pilot most of the time and I hate it. Can't study, can't work, struggle with what's supposed to be normal daily routine. I'm afraid all I can offer on this topic is understanding.

In addition to seconding what Deg said about bulletin boards and quests, I'd like to ask why we don't already have mossy and/or cracked mossy chiseled stone bricks, can't strip only one or two sides of wood or logs, and can't set bowls down.

Those seem like pretty obvious things.

I can probably take some of the blame for the screenshot competition not getting any competitors. A), I've been busy off and on this month and I didn't want to get into anything like the scavenger hunt without really getting into it like the couple times that I won, and B), I didn't really see the sport in playing in something I might've won by default. I didn't really want the win unless I felt like I earned it.

A little late, but I also recognize now that, had I taken the initiative and started posting at least a few screenshots in there, I might've sparked competition with people who felt the same way. Initiative isn't something I've ever really had, and it's something I'm trying to work on.

I know I wasn't supposed to be in there in the first place, but I was in the creative world the last time I left the server, and it spawned me in at the same place I left when I came back, so I figured I'd go work on my big Ocarina of Time build. My claims were messy and I wanted to abandon them all so I could claim everything a lot neater this time, but it crashed the server when I did, and when I came back on, big hunks of my build were gone and a bunch of the trees had disappeared.

Is there any way to roll back the creative server specifically, or does it have to be a server-wide thing? I really, really, really don't want to have to fix it manually since I'm pretty sure I couldn't put it back the way it was, but if it's a strictly server-wide thing, then I guess I wouldn't have other players' survival progress lost for the sake of my build.
