Alright so here I am, princess rescue is basically super Mario bros on Atari 2600, and it looks nice, and also plays nice, I really like this port, it has better sounds than many Atari games, story is blank simply because it uses the same history as super Mario bros, it includes a few super Mario bros actual levels, the game works pretty simple, controls well, and isn't really that hard, indeed I think actual super Mario bros is harder, but that's probably because of Atari limitations, I didn't own a Atari 2600, but, I played many games on emulator, about the game itself, i seem to get stuck in world 4, i couldnt go any beyond that, mario does use super mario bros 3 sprites, and the blocks except the power up blocks re-appear soon as you exit and go back to the same position, the koopa sprite resembles a bit to the atari mario bros, and when you hit a power up block, it disappear instead of staying as a non-interactible block, mario when using the power up mushroom, he seems to be too big for the scenario, thats why, i got stuck at world 4-2, i couldnt make the jump and my savestate was at the end of the level, i would have to die, except i had only 1 live left, the game controls works pretty well, up runs/throws fire when with fireflower and action/fire button jumps, blocks power ups and secret power ups you find in bricks are random, with a chance of having something or nothing, ranging from power ups, 1 up mushrooms, and coins, the boss battles are pretty simple but isnt super mario bros boss battles, in fact, they are instead super mario bros 3 kind of battles, where you have to hit the head of the opponent, in this case i think its bowser jr.
its a pretty good game, and if you are bored, go for it!
