No matter what browser I use, it won't detect flash even though I have it installed. Google Chrome, IE, Firefox, doesn't matter, same result every time.

I'm not sure what "plugin" you are using but you might want to update using this site:

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

You'll get the proper version of flash there and then hopefully you won't have any more issues.
