Hi guys! Remember the story 'Vizzed - Halloween Story Night' ( https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=97315 ) that i made for last year's Halloween? Well, i promised for almost a year i would make a sequel story, but i don't have enough time to make one, knowing i got another project up too. Then i got an idea the Vizzed user 'NepScarlet' used on his community (of which died today so respect to him for keeping a community for over 6 months!). The idea is simple: We all write a chapter for the story!

How does this work: There will most likely be several chapters, probably 6 or 7 chapters. These chapters are about, well, you guys, telling each other stories in each chapter. But what is the link with the previous story's cliffhanger ending, you'd ask? Well, [insert dangerous spoiler here]. So... that.

RULES:
- Vizzed rules apply. That's 100% certain.
- Your chapter may not exceed the amount of 3000 words. Though this forum recommends 2000, i think 3000 could do for this project. However, if 3000 is too much, try at least to aim for 2500 words!
- Do not make the chapter complete fiction. It must have some reality in it.
- The category of the story is horror. Be sure it fits there.
- Make sure your chapter is spell-checked or has proper grammar.

Sorry for a longer rule list than usual. Also, if you want to put your chapter up, then PM me your chapter either as a .txt file (i use Windows tools to write my things so don't worry) or as entire text. I will post your chapter, and will mention you have written it. This is because you are not allowed to post your stories as a reply to someone else's story, according to this forum's rules.

Why am i making this a thing? Because i mentioned somewhere here that i would make a Halloween story week on Vizzed. Since i can't do that alone and since you guys might want something different during this strange period of inactivity, i've decided to co-operate with some of you guys!

I might be able to contribute to this.
I have a few questions first though:

1. Do not make them complete fiction. Does this mean no "high fantasy" stuff, or more like just that it has to be based in reality to some extent?

2. Does it matter how we approach the horror? For example, can it be anything from, say, a monster to a completely human murderer on a rampage?

3. When is the deadline for submitting the chapters to you?

4. How scary should it be? Are we just saying "make it as scary as you want, so long as you don't break Vizzed rules"? Or is it more like...a Goosebumps kind of scary, where we tell scary stories that are just scary enough to be entertaining, but not actually scary?


Sorry about all of the questions. I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into before I made a decision. Horror isn't my usual style, but it could be interesting trying something somewhat new to me.

1. Well, as long as the time for example isn't different than the present time or as long as there are no aliens or such... Then other kinds of fantasy is allowed. However, it must stay a bit realistic at least.
2. Well, that's possible. However, as long as it doesn't break the rules. (and knowing you, you'll be fine.)
3. Well, i'm planning to post the first chapter on the 23rd of October. Then the following days that week will contain a chapter too. See this as another attempt of a week with stories, like i did last year with the amazingly well generated week before Christmas.
4. You can decide that, but same as in answer 2: You should follow the rules but you're this forum's only mod so...
