INTRO
Hey, vizzed members! I posted the original version of this story years ago and I finally got around to redoing it like I announced last month I would. I know it's short, but I wanted to keep this consistent with the original storyline.
Joe and Bob in:
“Sk8ing Mayhem” (Redone version)
Joe and Bob, adventurous brothers, stared out the window at the boring surroundings from the comfort of their couch. Rain poured down on their precious driveway that they liked using for skating.
“I really wanted to skate outside today,” Bob sighed. “It’s what I get up to do every day.”
The brothers shifted their eyes back to the TV screen, which brightened the room with no lights on. Speaking of lights, one turned on in Joe’s brain.
“I have an excellent idea! You’ll love it!” he blurted out to Bob.
Bob replied excitedly, “What is it?”
Joe announced his idea, saying, “How about we skate INSIDE THE HOUSE, since Mom and Dad are gone?!”
Bob hurriedly aimed the remote at the TV to shut it off, and then ran into the garage with Joe by his side. They darted their eyes to the left of the door. The skateboards sat on the floor, ready to be used. Above the skateboards hung the helmets on hooks attached to the wall.
After 20 seconds, Joe and Bob turned their heads towards each other and smiled. This was totally a good idea.
“LETSGODOTHISTHING!” Bob exclaimed in quite a hurry.
Followed by Joe, Bob skated through the narrow hallway to the family room. Joe jumped over the couch and landed perfectly. Bob turned away from the couch because he didn’t think he could land it that well.
The two dudes sped up, breezing through the kitchen and then they approached the living room. Suddenly, Joe lost his balance. He swerved and crash-ding-dong-dang’d into the family’s most valuable lamp. The pink, freshly painted lamp hit the floor and glass launched everywhere. One piece of glass landed on Joe’s foot, but the sharp edge didn’t hit him so he was still fine.
This was totally a good idea.
What happened next was perhaps even worse. Bob kept trying to avoid the pieces of glass that launched towards him as he was still skating. He held up his leg in the air so his head wouldn’t be the first thing to whack the wall. He didn’t remember that was the wall that already had a hole in it. His foot went into the hole and he too lost his balance and fell.
“Oh crap,” he whispered.
Conveniently, their parents walked in at that moment. Joe, in a panic, was cleaning up the pieces left of the lamp. Bob was laying on the floor with his foot perfectly squeezed into the wall-hole.
All their parents could do was gasp and then yell, “You two are grounded for a month!”
A day later, the weather contained rain and darkness again. This time their dad had to stay home to watch Joe and Bob until their mom came home.
“Never again will we do anything as fun as we did yesterday,” Joe muttered to Bob as they sat on their beds in their shared room. Not only did they have their fair share of pain from the incident, they also were grounded quite a bit. Their parents hid their skateboards, they had no TV privileges, and they had to stay in their room except for mealtimes.
Bob replied, "You said it. This was totally a good idea. Not at all." INTRO
