Does anyone use Kindle Worlds? Whether to read or write?

I've been following them ever since they first started and they've grown a lot.

It's a service by Amazon that basically allows fan-fictions to be published as legit books/ebooks.

They have almost 100 different worlds (The books/media that can be copied) and have published probably more than 1,000 books between them by various writers.

Here's an example of one, which I have read.

It's great for both finding licensed fan-fics for most properties, and also for writing if they have properties that someone really likes.

To be completely honest, I despise this idea.

The fact is, the Kindle library isn't really the place for this type of fan-fiction, nor indie writers. Not to say that they shouldn't be on there, of course, I think arising writers should be given the chance to do what they love best! However, I feel that the copyright issue comes way too much into play here.
