Well, I guess we know why Nintendo shut down AM2R now... but this is fantastic. 2 Metroid games announced in the same span of time, that's been unheard of since Metroid Fusion and the original Prime over 10 years ago. This remake looks phenomenal, and I'm looking forward to it. The introduction of new features, the updated graphics (that now include color), and just the fact that it's a  NEW METROID GAME is what's gotten me hyped up. Surprisingly, it's been announced for the 3DS, which means more confirmation that it will have continued support even during the Switch's lifespan, which is cool. What do you guys think of Metroid: Samus Returns, and what things do you like about this game that have changed from the original Metroid 2 on the Game Boy?

AM2R was kinda cooler?

I dunno, but anyways, I'm glad the Metroid series is coming back. It's been forever since we've had a good game from them, and I hope Miyamoto doesn't screw things up like he usually does with game series.

I'll be getting it hopefully, since I absolutely love metroid games.

I do believe AM2R was cooler in the sense that it kept to the Game Boy version's original roots, but Metroid: Samus Returns kinda seems like a spiritual successor, just using the same plot. I just hope it's really good, and from the footage we got from the treehouse live, it will be.
