I don't want my name showing up at all on YouTube. I don't even want a Google+. 
How do I solve the problem of my real name showing up on my channel, and the only URL I can get is my real name? This is extremely frustrating, and a little bit of an invasion of privacy, as I am seemingly not allowed to only show my username, and no real name to the public.

You might have to create a new account within youtube. A little different then what you would normally think. Like on my account I have 2 accounts my gmail login and then one that is separate but shows my username instead.
1. Click the little avatar button in top right.
2. Click add account.
3. Sign into your normal account.
4. It will either ask you to create a new brand account or it will show you the accounts you have just click new account if it shows accounts.
5. That's it.

If you have to use your main account for some reason I am unsure from there.

pokemon x : See, I don't want to do that though becuase I currently have 37 or so subscribers on my YT channel from when I actually had videos on it. ( I pulled them all awhile back. ) If I make a new account or channel, those subs don't transfer over. Now, I know that it's just 37 subs that are inactive for the most part, but that's not the problem. The problem is that I don't understand why I can't have my name not be shown on my channel, and why when I want to change my URL from my old channel name ( when it used to not show my name before they made the YT comments Google+ ), it has to be my real name now. 
Basically, I don't want " Caleb Maloy " to be shown to the public. I only want " DCM7734 " to appear.
