  a lot of cartoons probably have at least 1 character in them who is probably considered to be not very smart compared to the others in the cartoon take for example the road runner and the coyote no matter how hard the coyote tried to catch the road runner every trick he tried ended up backfiring on him or how about elmer fudd when he would always try to hunt bugs bunny only to have bugs outsmart him these are two examples I can think of where one cartoon character appeared to be smarter than the other how about you? who would you consider to be one of the dumbest cartoon characters?

Probably Brain from Top Cat. He has the mental capacity of dust. Even so, I still like him as a character. He's dumb, but he never causes any problems for people because they manipulate how stupid he is in order to get him to do things that they want done.

One cartoon character that takes the cake is Fry from Futurama. Everything that he does is either silly or just plain stupid.

When I want to think about how dumb and silly he is, all I have to do is think back to an episode where all he had to do was press one button, and his finger missed the button, almost destroying the world.

He's a classic case.

My favorite stupid characters growing up were Pinky from "Pinky and the Brain" and Ed from "Ed, Edd, and Eddy".
