I'm sure there are some people on here who know a lot more about computers than I do. I have kinda always been interesting in gaming on the PC however I never really had a chance to do so until now. I did a decent amount of research on what I need and how things work and I came up with a build (Follow the link below).

This is going to be my first build ever, I am not looking to build anything insane and am trying to stick within a budget. Is anyone willing to look through the parts I have listed and give me any thoughts or opinions of what you might personally do or change. Thanks!

The processor looks alright, though if you have the money, try to opt for a quad-core processor so that it can run modern games better. The RAM is alright and can handle games well. Everything else looks pretty good, although you could save a couple dollars for a nice looking LED case I found on Newegg that is on sale right now https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353056

For a first PC, its a pretty good build. Nice job on the parts and I hope it runs well.

MoblinGardens : I would suggest that you save up to get a better motherboard/processor. These are basically the two most important things on your computer besides the power supply. The better ones you get now, the longer your computer will last you.

For example, most modern games now recommend at least an Intel i5 to play games at their recommended settings. I suggest doing some research into the minimum/recommended specs of games that you are interested in playing and base your build off of that.

Makes more sense to make the investment now, and incrementally upgrade things like the ram/GPU later when you have more money to spend.

In addition to the previous suggestions, I probably would suggest an aftermarket CPU cooler as well. The ones that ship with processors typically aren't the best...
