Hi! I'm Jakondite, I'm new here. Let's see, some things about me. I love RPGs, found the site while looking for older rpgs. Some of my favorite games include Final Fantasy, Pokemon, and Tales of games, and Radiata Stories (the latter of which I have never been able to play since I mysteriously lost my disk under dark and horrible circumstances. ).

I have some starting questions as I look through the site.

So I tried playing a game (FF Tactics Advanced). I am a bit of a multitasker though, and noticed that if I leave the screen to talk on IMs to people, the game no longer accepts my key inputs unless I reset the emulator. Is there a way around that?

I tried looking for a question similar to this. I could not find the Search function. Is there one that I am missing for the forums? Edit: NM. Found it. Apologies.

The way to fix the emulator not responding after using the chat is just clicking where the game is being displayed. You have to click back and forth between them so the Plug-In knows which one to use the key inputs for. (I know you said you found the search function, but I wasn't sure if that meant you also found the answer lol. If so, just ignore me XD) 

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask the Staff or myself and we'll do our best to help. Hope you enjoy your time here

I did actually try that, but it seemed unresponsive. That said, I did find out that if I need to leave the tab I can save state just before I do, then when I reset it load state. Just means that I can't accidentally respond to someone without losing a little progress.

 and welcome to the board.  as Mynamescox44 mentioned clicking on the game display should fix the  not responding issue, otherwise why font you try the other emulator options, some are buggier then the others. But basically the mednafen is in my opinion one of the best emulator options here and can be used by most of the games, except on n64.

Another option is to use a controller, because with a controller u won't have the issue of not responding after chatting on IM, cause it can be used all the time.
