I am trying to play the MAME based game Code One Dispatch - https://www.vizzed.com/play/code-one-dispatch-(ver-d)-mame-arcade-46024-game - however the emulator always shuts down, saying that the necessary game files are missing.

Sorry for the trouble you are having. I also wasn't able to get this game working.

Since you are new to the forums, here's a couple quick tips:

1. For issues with the RGR please post in the RGR forum, that way you are likely to get answers quicker from those that are knowledgeable regarding the RGR/Games

2. Games with zero screenshots Submitted are usually a sign the game doesn't work.

3. There are already threads created for a lot of these consoles to report issues with games. The MAME game report forum can be found here - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=88833

You're not alone regarding that problem. I've been trying to play Photoplay 2000 for quite a while, but so far, I can't find one way to start it up properly. When it was added to the RGR, it gives me the same error you were describing. Since then, Photoplay 2000 has been removed. I really wanted to play it, though. It's just a shame the series is beyond obscure.

Yeah the obscurity of games like this is staggering, I can't even find a single functioning MAME build for C1D; and there are possibly only four gameplay videos on the internet.
