HELP ME!!! The keyboard controls won't work for me in the RGR...

So far (when the games function) I have enjoyed the RGR immensely (good work all), but for some reason the majority of the games do not respond to the keyboard controls. Is it not meant for keyboard controls? Cause I have Windows Vista and am using the latest Explorer, so it shouldn't be a compatability problem. Also, I have already tried unistalling and reinstalling the RGR plugin, and repairing it, but it seems to have no effect. Any help would be awesome! Thanks

The games are all supposed to work with the keyboard as far as I know.
Have you tried reconfiguring the controls on the games that are not working?
List the consoles that the games that dont respond are on and someone will list how to change the controls (if you don't know how already that is).

Try double'clicking the screen either a list for controls will pop up or a menu listing will pop up, hit controls and you should be able to configure from there...What browser are you exactly using???

For whatever reason, the input menu input options don't respond to any of the up, down, left, or right keys or any of the number or letter keys when trying to assign buttons on the input menu. I can, however, assign enter for start and shift for select. Other than that, it doesn't seem to recognize any of the other buttons I try to assign. Am using IE 8 for browser btw.

Well you really don't have to hit escape and do anything in there from my knowledge. Like I said try double clicking the game screen and configuring your controls from within here. There should be a drop menu that you will be able to hit a control options from here.

I would suggest that if IE won't let you configure the controls in the games try using FireFox.
There are still bugs that need to be worked out with the RGR plugin to do with compatibility with browsers but some users have found switching to a different browser helps.

Thanks for the info. I was having the same problem on the NES games using IE8 as well. I will try Firefox in a couple of minutes as I have to have it on my computer for school anyway. I'll post if it responds better than IE8 has been.

The way I ended up getting mine to work was that after double clicking on the screen I noticed that the port was showing that the input for the controls was showing , so I switched it to the gamepad and inserted my own custom controls that I wanted instead of the presets. I don't know if you have already tried this or not, but I hope this helps in some way.
