Don't know if this has been made yet, I tried to check and didn't see it. Are there any songs you have an emotional connection with?

One for me is Vitamin C's Graduation, because they played it back at my 8th grade graduation. Another is Michael W. Smith's "Friends" which someone sang at the same event.
"Hey Ya!" was on our senior video so that is another one, there was another song on there that I had a connection too, but I can't remeber what it is right now.

Some of the motivation songs I have mentioned have a emotional cconnection with me, like Cid's Theme, Chairots of Fire, and Fire Emblem, not really sure why though.

Well I used to have this girlfriend and we 'had a song' and it was a really good song. Burden Brothers - Beautiful Night. And she has never really gotten over me. So everytime she hears it, she like crys. And thats bad, because (1)She has ruined a GREAT song for herself (2)It makes me feel like an a**h*** (3)Its not even a sad song, its a happy feeling rock song.

Beautiful Day by U2- I can't listen to this song anymore because it has emotional attachments with a girl that I was engaged to for a year and a half.

Drive by Incubus- Also an emotional attachment with the same girl but I like that song because the line "Would you choose water over wine, hold the wheel and drive," means to me to take charge of your own life instead of accepting handouts and depending on other people.

Whiskey Lullaby- I listened to this song on repeat for three days when a girl that was the only woman I've fallen completely in love with told me she wanted nothing to do with me other than being friends. I'm still in love with her and I try to avoid that song cause it dredges up painful emotions.

Like every art, a person can find different meanings to each subject. I don't really connect songs with people I love, because I have yet to find a song that correctly displays my affection for another.

I have an attachment for "The Sickness" by Disturbed, because I remember the first time I heard the song I was with my dad, and my dad sang to the beginning, with the strange monkey noises.
