Yesterday, going through my CP log, I noticed I was really short of reaching a kind of milestone very few people have attained. With the work I did today, I now stand at exactly 1,000 games added!

It may not seem a big thing, but I can tell you it's not easy to reach. I've been a System Manager for nearly 14 months, having to deal with dozens of releases every week, so it's kind of tough to keep up for this long. You also need to be lucky enough to tackle a big chunk of releases at some given time, which is happening to me during this month and happened back when VR was released in October.

Even if it's something only available to certain individuals, not many people has made it this far and that's what makes this milestone special. All the hard work and the many hours I've dedicated into this are totally worth it, and it's what keeps me going no matter what obstacles I find in my way.

The next milestone would probably be for 5,000, and that's just too far away given the pace I'm imposed. Still, I'll try to get my numbers as high as possible, so here's to many more games to add in the future!

Eirinn : Mandatory summon because of the lists you sometimes post in the request thread. They have surely contributed to getting this milestone sooner than it normally should, so feel free to drop some more anytime!

Nice work, man! And now that you've said that, I'm actually going to go through my entire collection and look for more to ask you to add. lol Just promise not to kill me, or even inflict (too much) bodily harm on me when I do.

Seriously, this is a pretty big accomplishment, man! That encourages me to set some staff goals for myself too. Maybe a certain number of articles or reviews assigned? We'll see. :3

Eirinn : Yeah, staff goals are sometimes encouraging, even more if you work hard for them. Considering for how long you've had your current staff roles, I'm sure there's something you can aim for that you're not that far away from.

I'd actually be happy to see more requests. I have the feeling we're still missing on a lot of things, but due to real life and what not I barely have time to check the VGR for missing games. Any help would be welcome, and also infusing some life to the request thread would be very nice lol.

Yuna1000 : Checking around, not even David or tRIUNE have managed to get 5,000 games added since the CP were introduced. That's totally an extra motivation for anyone, so let's go for it!

If you think you're going to get to 5K any time soon, you're crazy lol, that would take sooo long. Has anyone else even reached that?

Looking at this makes me sad that I didn't wait an extra couple days before leaving so I could reach 3000, which would have taken me 22 months to reach.

I calculated that I added about 2,420 games to the RGR before the CP system was implemented, and looking at my CP results now says I added 3,581 games... maybe somebody will beat me to 5,000

It was kind of cool that this week's digital releases allowed me to reach exactly 1,000. This afternoon will make it 48 hours since that number has been displaying in my log, so time to go back to business for the retail releases and get that number higher.
