For a while now after my computer boots up I get an error message that says that the Service Uploader has unexpectedly closed. I have tried reinstalling the plugin a few times and no change. I usually use Firefox as my main web browser, but I also tried Google Chrome and it still didn't work. This was happening before the new Firefox update, so I know it isn't that either.

Please Help!

Have you tried to play any of the games on here with the RGR plugin after the error message?

theweapon2 : Yes, and nothing happens except a never ending loading screen. I have also tried several different games to make sure it wasn't just the one game, still nothing.

I have the same error!

I've put this post on the download page and in the help area but to no avail ...

It seems to be port related (in my limited knowledge of such things...

This is a duplicate(ish) post from download thread.
I am still having problems getting the plugin to start.
It seems to be a port issue and I have tried a few things with my firewall to no avail.
I did have success when i booted win10 into safe mode.
Anyone had similar issues or any advice?!?
I'm pretty much a newbie but have been lurking for a while.
I have used the plugin previously but now it does not work :-(
I am using chrome on Win10 (although the same error occurs on all browsers)
It seems to install OK but on startup I get a message "Loader exiting unexpectedly".
I have been through and also tried to manually start the .exe files in the installation with admin rights.  I have done most obvious (well obvious to me) things to no avail.
I had a short-term success today and one rom loaded and was playable after a reboot.  But now it is not working again.
Here is the error message followed by the working one then the most recent(ish) error. I have tried firewall on/off and manually opened some ports after looking through some bits and bobs,,, but still not reliable :-(

UPDATE

I love this place but I'm getting a bit hung up about it all....

This is the 3rd time I've written this post due to something or other... it appears you can't post twice in a row.... nonsense!

Anyhooo...

It looks like this maybe a port issue related to Adobe.

Flash needs port 843 to have some kind of permissions set between the plugin and flash.
I have jumped to this conclusion because both the RGR Plugin and normal 'flash' games are now not working.

In safe mode (Win10) I have also used a port scanner.  It seems that the service loader is opening ports (even when it crashes on load) but they are not being used.  In normal mode they are not opened.

I'm only jumping to a conclusion here folks but it appears to me to be a WIN 10 issue linked to the communication between the plugin and flash.

It'd be great to see if any clever people could help out on this!

I can confirm that this bug is NOT exclusive for Windows 10!

Not sure what to do really, so any help would be appreciated for me as well. Quite sad, before; Vizzed was a place where I could play any games
I always wanted without any plugin related problems. Now the Ninjas have taken down my favorite games (bless David for making a "Play your games" page and fixing that huge problem)
and the RGR plugin going ape nuts. *sigh*
