Do page numbers need to be more visable? I say yes.
The page numbers are at the bottom of each page, yet hardly anyone visits other pages in a section, so I think we need to display those numbers at both the top and bottom of the pages, and maybe make them more visable.
I just see so many good threads get pushed off page one by bad threads, never to be seen again, mostly because people either don't know or won't visit page two or even three.
What do other members think?

One could argue that if they've been pushed to the bottom of the page, even by bad threads, then it wasn't active enough to stay toward the top. I'm all for having page numbers at the top. I've seen it at other places and it just looked right. It might get other people to look at much older threads but I don't think it'll be significant.

One could argue that, but I think it's an invalid arguement for a forum with less then 500 posts made per day.
Spread over 28 sections that's only 17 posts per section.
So on Vizzed I would consider an "active" thread any thread with posts made in the last week, maybe 2.

I am also constantly seeing perfectly good threads with lots of good discussions get forgotten about, they drift to page 2 and then someone makes another one and those good posts are considered garbage because the thread didn't get posted in for a week or two.

Maybe then a better solution then, change the default threads per page to 100 instead of 50.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.
