Yes, I have read it and found it to be a story of great meaning and influence of modern culture. It presents a boy going through a horrid time in history and being the only survivor of his family from it. I believe this book should be read more often by people.

Yeah, I just finished it! It was so sad, it increases my hatred about Hitler 10-fold. It also makes Diary of Anne Frank sound wimpy.

I agree that it was a very good book, and very graphic, but I really don't think anything could make Diary of Anne Frank sound wimpy. If you guys want something that will really make you anti-nazi, you should watch the movie Life Is Beautiful. It's an italian movie, but you can get an english translation.

Survivor accounts of the Holocaust usually are very emotional and sad, and they should be. The reason that Night seems so much more powerful than the Anne Frank story is because he was in Auchwitz and she was hiding in an attic.

Life is Beautiful is anti-Mussolini more than it is anti-Nazi. I would see it with the subtitles instead of the English dub, it is much better.

Night is probably one of the most accurate books about the Holocaust.

I've surprisingly met Wiesel due to the fact that we had this holocaust survived that worked and contributed a lot to our school and after he died, I went to the funereal and he was there giving a speech about his friend.
