Robert Pershing Wadlow, he was 8 feet and 11.1 inches tall when he died (about 9 feet tall with shoes on).

He had to wear a leg brace. And one time it bit into his knee or somthing so he got infected and died. Kindof sad. Yao Ming doesn't have anything on him though.

We don't really know for sure...but the estimates I've heard put him between 8 and 10 feet. So this guy would actually be the closest anyone's ever come to being eye-level with Goliath...
