I know most people who are in college are still on break right now, some should be starting soon while others start a bit later on. My Spring semester starts on March 5th. I could have gone to the Winter semester but I didn't have the willpower to do so. My old school that I use the internet for starts back up next Wednesday.

If you're in college when is your first day of class back and if you aren't, when did you go back to class from Christmas break?

I'm in high school and this year we had a short winter break. It started on December 23rd and ended on January 5th. Normally our winter break is 2 weeks long, but this time it was only a week and a half.

In my government class we were able to debate anything we wanted if it was appropriate, so we chose to debate about our suddenly-so-much-shorter-than-before break, why we should have a longer one. I figured they just made it short because they thought we'd have a ton of snow days this year. However, we've only had 3 if I remember correctly and for 2 hour delays, we've had 2.

I had my last exam just Saturday and I know that some courses aren't yet over, so it's probably going to be a while before I go back for the next semester.

Supposedly, by the little information available currently, the returning date should be the first weeks of March. This means some five weeks of break since exams. A bit too much in my opinion because we must tackle huge courses in the span of just 3-4 months, I'd prefer one more month worth of time to do the work instead of developing my laziness.

I guess university has these things, more compressed courses but longer breaks to "make up for the stress".

Even though winter break is over, we can still talk about Summer Break, right? I almost always go back to school from Summer Break on August 3 or somewhere around that time. I don't know if it's going to be different this year, but it's been the same for as long as I can remember.
