Thanks to the Internet, crappy or good products can easily be detected so consumers don't get fooled/ get informed about the products.

Take the Nespresso machine I recently bought. I had experienced it once in a hotel and it had been the best espresso I had ever had. The machine is at a reasonable price ($140), but the cups that go into it are still under some sort of monopoly. As a result, you can only order them online from Nescafé and they are very expensive. Plus, the milk frother that was included with the kit is only half working. We were able to warm up and whip the cream only on the first day; the machine will stop functioning after a few seconds. But it stills froths milk at room temperature.

In other words, avoid that machine at least until cups become more widely available like the k-cups from Keurig.

As a coffee enthusiast I'm absolutely appalled at this. How insulting it is to sell something like that and get away with it.

It's hard to trust coffee machines for me, they usually break a lot for me even when it's a trusted brand. I still use an old percolator because I don't want to have to keep buying new machines.

Personally I think it should be illegal for them to sell this if it's just gonna break down soon after. Such a shame.
