It makes me happy to know that some other people on here also grew up playing River City Ransom. I never owned the game but i would sit at my neighbors and play it alot.

I always liked buying things in a different mall every so many levels. However, it wasn't until i got a little older that i realized there was a screen with all of your attributes and the items you buy had drastic effects on them.

Around that point i also realized you have to beat the bosses in a certain order to unlock the end levels and beat the game. I've probably beaten it around 20 times in my life. My friend purchased it on his Nintendo Wii and we ran through it again recently. Still fun...
