---------- Controls ---------- Arrow keys: Move the player up, down, left and right A=Do an action B=Exit out of something like the menu Start=Opens the menu L and R=Functions vary. ------------- Introduction ------------- The game starts off with you waking Professor Oak. You need to set the time before you can continue. Once set, the official dialogue begins. He rambles on about how People and Pokemon are friends and how some people play and hoe some people battle with their pokemon. After that rambling, you can choose your name. Once set, you start in your room in New Bark Town. Make your way downstairs and your mom will stop you and ask you to set the day of the week and explain the phone function of the pokegear. After. she wll tell you that Professor Elm is looking for you. Head to his lab and he will explain that he needs you to go to Mr. Pokemon's house to get the item he has. Pick your starter Pokemon and make your way out with his aid giving you a potion. --------- Route 29 --------- Battle all the pokemon here and get all the items as you head toward Cherrygrove city. Route 41 is accessible via the top most building but all you can do there for now is battle the wild pokemon. ---------------- Cherrygrove city ---------------- Talk to Guide Gent to get a tour and a map card for your Pokegear. Heal at the Pokemon center if need be. Make your way to route 30 -------- Route 30 -------- Battle all of the Pokemon you run into while taking the right most side. Make sure to collect all the items that you can as well. A house hosts a free berry inside as well. Make your way to Mr. Pokemon's house to get an egg, a pokedex and fully restored Pokemon. Battle all Pokemon as you leave the route. ---------------- Cherrygrove city ---------------- Heal if need be and then try to leave which will execute the rival battle. Beat him and head to route 29 -------- Route 29 -------- Battle all the wild Pokemon encountered here and head to New Bark Town. ------------- New Bark Town ------------- Head into Elm's lab where you will be asked to name your rival. After that hand the egg to professor Elm. Heal if need be using the machine and then head into your house and talk to your mom. Save your money if you;d like (Although i don't like doing this) Head to route 29 -------- Route 29 -------- Battle all the wild Pokemon here. ---------------- Cherrygrove city ---------------- Heal if need be and then head to route 30 -------- Route 30 -------- Battle all the wild Pokemon and trainers here. -------- Route 31 -------- Battle the trainers and wild Pokemon here. Go to Violet City ----------- Violet City ----------- Heal at the center and then enter sprout tower. Collect all the items and battle all the trainers and wild Pokemon (If any appear) Head to the gym and complete it. Head toward route 32. -------- Route 32 -------- Battle all the trainers and wild Pokemon encountered and be sure to collect all the items. Heal at the Pokemon center if need be and head toward Azalea Cave. ---------- Azalea Cave ---------- Battle all of the wild pokemon you encounter plus the trainers. Make sure you get all of the items. There are some stairs towards the end but you can't do anything there, at least not yet. Exit to Route 33 -------- Route 33 -------- Battle the sole trainer here, collect the tree item and battle any Pokemon you run into when you traverse the grass. Enter Azalea town. ----------- Azalea town ----------- Heal if you need to and then head to Kurt's house (Make sure to grab the Apricorn behind his house) Talk to Kurt and he will explain the situation and go running to slowpoke well. ------------- Slowpoke well ------------ Enter the well, talk to Kurt and then battle all the team rocket grunts and any wild Pokemon you may see. Grab any items if there are any accessible. ----------- Azalea Town ----------- Heal if you need to and then head to the gym and complete it. If you have Crockonaw then the TM you get will be useful. After that heal if needed and then buy twenty super potions. Battle your rival as you try to leave for Ilex forest. Beat him and head to Ilex forest. ----------- Ilex forest ----------- Battle all the wild Pokemon, collect all the items and help the kid get his Farfetch'd back to get cut. Make your way to route 34. -------- Route 34 -------- Battle everyone here plus any wild pokemon encountered. If you need to, change the date and time to battle the police officer (Same goes for route 35) plus get any itens (If you go to the daycare field and search with A button, you can get a super potion) Head to Goldenrod. -------------- Goldenrod city -------------- Heal if need be and then head towards the underground and battle all the trainers there. Head to the radio tower to do a quiz and get the radio card. Battle and complete the gym and then get the Squirtle bottle from the house next door. Go down to get a free bike. Head to route 35. Make sure to get the Farfetch'd if you don't have a flying type already -------- Route 35 -------- Battle everyone here changing the date if you need to to get the police officer. Head into National park ------------- National park ------------- Battle all of the wild pokemon encountered plus the trainers here. Make sure you get all of the items here. Head toward route 36. -------- Route36 -------- Battle everyone here. Head back to route 35 using a different path to get a trainer there. Head to route 37. -------- Route 37 ------- Battle the trainers here plus the wild pokemon. Head to Ecruteak city. ------------- Ecruteak city ------------- Heal if need be and then head to the dance studio and battle all the Kimono girls to get surf. Head into the gym and complete it. Head to the burned down tower to execute a rival battle. Beat him and head to route 38 (Heal if you need to before going) -------- Route 38 -------- Battle all the trainers and wild Pokemon you encounter. Make sure to get all the items. Stop by MoMo farms if you'd like. Head to Olivine city ------------ Olivine city ------------ Your rival will exit the gym and start a dialogue but not battle. Heal if need be and then head to the light house. ----------- Light house ----------- Battle all the trainers and get all the items. Use the rare candy obtained from here on your starter (You may have to trash/store some items by now) Talk to Jasmine, the gym leader and then go to Cinnawood city. Make sure to get strength from the Olivine cafe to the left of the Pokemon center before you leave. -------- Route 40 ------- I don't expect you to get every trainer here since this route is probably the biggest route out there (plus the trainers are spread out too) but I do want you to get some trainers. Consider beating all the trainers here extra credit if you want to get them all. Battle all the wild pokemon here as well. -------------- Cinnawood city -------------- Heal at the center if need be and then do the gym. Talk to the gyn leader's wife after winning to get fly. Head to the Cinnawood pharmacy to get the secret potion and then fly back to Olivine city. ------------ Olivine city ------------ Heal if you need to and then head to the light house. Give the secret potion to Amphy and then head to the gym and complete it. Head back through route 39, 38 and Ecruteak city (Healing if need be) and then head towards route 42. -------- Route 42 -------- Don't take Morter cave. Instead take the water path battling wild pokemon and any trainers here. head into Mahogany town. ------------- Mahogany town ------------- Heal if need be and buy a rage candy bar if you'd like. Head to Lake of Rage battling any trainers and wild pokemon on the way. ------------ Lake of Rage ------------ Capture (or kill) the red Gyradose and talk to Lance. Head back to Mahogany town. ------------- Mahogany town ------------- Heal if needed and then head to the gift shop where Lance will reveal stairs. Head into the rocket hideout. Get infront of all the Persian statues and battle the rockets appearing because of the switches. Once all the Persain statue rockets are beaten, turn off the statues and then head towards the exit battling the pokemon from the trap. In the next room, Lance will heal your pokemon. Go around battling the rockets on the various floors while hunting for the passwords and for the items. Battle the rocket admin and executive and then battle the Electrode and then leave the place. Heal if you have to and then head to the gym and complete it. Afterwards, Professor Elm will call you and then you will need to go to Goldenrod. -------------- Goldenrod city -------------- Heal if need be and then head to the radio station. Battle all the rocket people and save the "director" to get the underground card key. Heal if needed and then head to the underground we were at when we were here earlier and head towards the offshoot and use the card key on the door. I do not know if there is a specific solution to the door puzzle so you are in your own for this unfortunately. Head in to battle the rockets that are there and save the real director to get another card key. Head up the stairs to reach the warehouse of the Goldenrod department store. Head back to the radio station and use the card key to open the shutter we couldn't open earlier and battle all the rockets there. The director will thank you and give you a rainbow wing. Fly back to Mahagony town and head to route 44. -------- Route 44 -------- Battle the trainers here and make your way for Ice path. -------- Ice path -------- Navigate through Ice path battling the wild pokemon and getting all the items (Waterfall is here too) Head to Blackthorn city. --------------- Blackthorn city --------------- Heal if need be and then head to the gym and semi complete it. Head to dragons den, battle all the trainers there and collect the dragon scale. You will need whirlpool Once collected, Clair will come down nd give you your badge meaning you have now fully completed the gym. -------- Route 45 -------- Battle all the trainers here and the wild pokemon. -------- Route 46 -------- Again, do the same as above battling all the trainers and wild Pokemon. ------------- New bark town ------------- Heal at Elm's lab if need be (Plus get his rewards as well) and then take the water path to head to route 27. -------- Route 27 -------- Get the new map and head into Tohjo falls. This is where the red Gyradose will come in handy since you'll need to climb a waterfall. Battle any pokemon here as well. Exit and enter the house for a TM which should be sandstorm. Battle all the trainers here and head to route 26. -------- Route 26 -------- Battle everyone here plus the wild pokemon. Enter the house you see to get your pokemon restored. Head to victory road. ------------ Victory road ------------ Battle any trainers if there are any plus the wild pokemon. Make sure to get all the items. Your rival will also execute a battle when you reach the end so beat him. ---------- Elite four ---------- Heal and buy at least twenty Full restores and Twenty revives to have on hand. Go into the elite four and complete it. Record your score out of 50 for completing the game. ------------- New bark town ------------- Head to Professor Elm's lab to get the S.S. aqua ticket from him. Fly to Olivine and board the ship. --------- S.S. Aqua --------- Battle all the trainers and find the gentlemens daughter who is with the captain. Exit to Vermilion --------------- Vermilion city -------------- Heal if need be and complete the gym. Head to Saffron battling the trainers and wild pokemon along the way. ------------- Saffron city ------------- If you talk to the police officer in Silph Co you can get an upgrade. Go to the copycat girls house to get filled in that her doll is missing. Head to Vermilion city's pokemon fan club and talk to everyone until one of them gives you the doll (It should be the fat dude that has it. He looks similar to Earl from Violet city) Return it to the copycat girl to get a Magnet pass. Sweet! Unlimited travel from Johto to Kanto without time restrictions. Battle the gym but not the fighting dojo and then head to Celadon City. ------------ Celadon city ------------ Heal if need be and then battle the gym. Head to Lavander town while battling the trainers along the way. Head to Cerulean city and head to the Powerplant. Find the owner and try to leave. The security guard will stop you and ask you for your cooperation. Head to Cerulean. ------------- Cerulean city ------------- Enter the gym and get the part from the middle square pool. Head back to the Powerplant to return the part and get zapcannon in return. Head back to Cerulean, heal if needed and then go to route 24 and 25 battling everyone and finding Misty. After a dialogue, head back to Cerulean and Battle the trainers and leader at the gym. If you go to the house that explains the gym badges in Fire red and head to his backyard, you can get a rare candy, ------------- Lavender town ------------- Go to the radio tower and get the upgrade card for the radio and then take the down routes which are 12, 13, 14 and 15 respectively battling the trainers and wild pokemon there. Go to Fuchsia ------------ Fuchsia city ------------ Heal and then do the gym. Make sure to save so that way if you miss a trainer due to how they are disguised then you can restart. Do the bicycle path trainers and then head to Vermilion using the poke-flute channel on the Snorlax capturing it if you'd like. Do Diglett save battling the wild pokemon encountered. ----------- Pewter city ----------- Heal and then battle Brock beating him. Head to Route two and Viridian forest battling everyone there. ------------- Viridian city ------------- Heal and head to Pallete town ------------ Pallete town ------------ Head to Cinnabar battling the trainers along the way. --------------- Cinnabar island --------------- Talk to Blue and then heal at the center. Head to seafoam island battling any trainers along the way and complete the gym. ------------- Viridian city ------------- Heal if need be and beat the gym. Go to Professor Oak to get access to Mt. Silver. -------- Route 28 -------- Battle the trainers (If any) plus the wild pokemon. Heal at the center if need be. Enter Mt. Silver ---------- Mt. Silver ---------- Battle the wild pokemon and find Red. Battle and beat him and give yourself an extra 50 points as extra credit. Now you have fully beaten the game.
