Well of course all relationships require effort to be honest but what i think counts as a good relationship is the fact that the two are loyal to each other and honest. Let's be honest though all relationships aren't perfect, but if the two put in a lot of effort to it, it will be close to perfect.

In my opinion, a good relationship is when the significant other trusts you, and you trust them back. You will do anything for each other. Sure, sometimes, bad things will happen, it's part of life. But if you two fight to stay with each other until the end, that's when you know you've found the right one. Personally, I'd try my best to be the best boyfriend possible. Too bad I don't have a significant other.

A good relationship is when two or more people have specific objectives of the social interaction and those objectives are met. For example, maybe two people are very passionate with each other and that's what they want. They go do whatever they do, they have fun, shower after, and continue on their day. There's no love, there's no emotional connection, and it's just fun. That's a good relationship.

Or if people play sports, work out together, study for school together, or otherwise accomplish something with each other's help and support, they have a good relationship. It doesn't have to be a loving relationship between two people who are or plan on being married at some point. I have many friends and almost all of them are not romantic relationships. We simply enjoy each other's time and participation in whatever we're doing, and we're happy with that interaction. It's that simple.

As long as both people are happy, a good relationship is whatever they define it as.

I don't trust a lot of people, so, to me, a good relationship is when two or more people feel a bond with each other. An emotional connection and mutual trust that doesn't necessarily have to be romantic or sexual. A sense of duty and concern to and for one another. For me, a good relationship is a rare thing, but I think that makes it much more valuable.
