I talked about Evil in a previous thread. Consider this a followup. In that, I said evil definitely does exist, but suprisingly many others told me evil was quite subjective. Taking that into account, what counts as "evil"? Unspeakable crimes? Harming others to survive?  Any potentially dangerous action with good intentions? Even a small offense like thievery? For example, if someone you knew was dying of some incurable disease, and wanted you to assist in their suicide, what would you do? Would it be evil to assist in their death or lack of involvement when knowing they will off themselves? Discuss. Reflect. Thank you.

Ultrajeff : assisted suicide is something that I consider to be a rather complicated issue,on one hand I do believe that if a person is suffering from an incurable disease they should have the right to die with dignity but on the other hand if I was asked by a friend to help end their life I would refuse since this is not something that I would feel comfortable doing because if I did it would bother my conscience for the rest of my life,I,m not saying that I would like to see anyone suffer but helping end their life is not something I would ever want to do,when I last herd anything about this subject they were still discussing whether or not to make assisted suicide legal

To me I think a person is evil when they want to harm others or they do very bad things. For example I rapists is an evil person. A pedophile and child molester is evil. A serial killer is evil. I also think a person is evil when they want to do harm or advocate. For example, Iran's leadership is evil as they want to blow Israel off the map and have called for Jews to be exterminated. Animal abusers are also evil. These type of people are very bad people. 

I would have a hard time pulling the plug on somebody who wanted to die. As a Christian it would bother me morally. So I don't think I could do it.  I think when it comes to evil you have to look at the intentions. For example, Iran's leadership wants to blow Israel off the map why because they have called for the extermination of Jews. Plus Iran's leadership executes Christians too. So yeah that would be evil for sure and they have evil intentions. A person who robs another person just do it or get in a gang that is evil as the intentions are not good.

Things that makes you soul say "no no no, that's too horrible" But sometimes we enjoy evil things and that's only part of our human nature.. So in some sense evil things can sometimes be good.. So can the good things be evil also.. It's our perspectives that separate us from each others.
