non-resumable downloads suck bad

i was wanting to play Gunlord for the dreamcast here. https://www.vizzed.com/play/gunlord-dc-sega-dreamcast-100857-game

clicked "play game" waited and waited... download passed the 20% mark and suddenly *poof* back down to 1% and counting. wtf? and if i close the window and reopen it later the download STILL restarts entirely.

forget this. i'll just bring up JDownloader (a download manager) and download the game from another site and setup an emulator on my own if the download won't even work correctly here.

i mean, why even try if the download is just going to randomly restart midway through? that's little more than a pointless waste of time doing that.

average top download speed for my connection is around 180kb/s usually. though that seldom matters much unless i'm downloading via firefox's built-in download manager...which usually can't handle any download past the 250MB+ mark without timing out.
