I'm going to try out another Minecraft competition only because I've added some features which I think could increase participation. Minecraft Competition Winners will get a trophy added to their profile (which they'll eventually be able to display and show off), they'll get added to the newly created Hall of Fame page and they'll also have a Minecraft Trophy icon next to their name until the next Minecraft competition (as a way to show that they're the reigning champion).

In this competition you must create the best video game themed structure on the Vizzed Minecraft Server. The structure can be of anything as long as it's video game related in some way. You can present your submission in the form of a video or screenshots. If you do a video then you must upload it to the Vizzed YouTube Account. If you do screenshots then you must upload them to Vizzed and then post them to this thread.

The structure must be created in the new Creative world. You'll have flight and unlimited blocks when you're in the creative world so there are almost no limitations on what you can create! More info here:

You can also rent an admin in order to have access to World Edit features which will allow you to have basic structures created in a matter of minutes and also have stuff copy/pasted, moved, etc. More info here:

Staff will vote on the submissions after the competition is done. They'll vote based on structure uniqueness, difficulty, and the presentation of the video or screenshots.



Instructions for taking a video and submitting it to the Vizzed YouTube Channel:
You can use Camtasia (probably the best and has a free trial available), Camstudio (free), Xsplit or any other program to record with. You may also edit the video however you want (example, adding music, subtitles, etc), just make sure it is less than 5 minutes long.

Once you've recorded the video, you'll want to upload it to the Vizzed YouTube page and add it to the game's page in the Video Game Room. You can do this by going to the game's page (link found below) and then scroll half way down the page to the 'Minecraft User Submitted videos' section and click the 'Click to Upload your Video to Vizzed Youtube' link. Once the video has been uploaded, be sure to place a link to it to this thread, otherwise your submission will not count.



Rules:
-Up to 5 submissions per a user (this also includes structures you've teamed up on)
-Minecraft Staff may compete and I will be competing
-Please separate your submissions with 1 submission per a post
-You may work with others on a submission (you'll then split the earnings)
-No command blocks
-You may use some of your old structures with your new structure as long as your old structures make up less than 33% of your new submission
-The structure must be built in the Creative World
-When showing off your submission, you cannot use any resource packs unless you created the resource pack (and if you do create your own, be sure to place a link to download it with your post)



Prizes:
1st = 300,000 Viz or 30 Raffle Tickets or Your Own World *
2nd = 160,000 Viz or 16 Raffle Tickets (or Your Own World if winner declined it)
3rd = 80,000 Viz or 8 Raffle Tickets (or Your Own World if 1st & 2nd declined it)
4th = 25,000 Viz
5th = 10,000 Viz

*You'll be given your very own world on the Vizzed Minecraft Server. We'll set the difficulty to whatever you want it to be and we'll also create a massive claim and give it to you so that you own a huge portion of the world (if you choose). You can set the name to be whatever you want and we and we'll make the portal to it from wherever you want. The world can be generated in any way you want (from a seed, schematic import, world import, etc). We'll also give you 2 free admin hours which means admins will invest up to 2 hours helping you do whatever special things you want done with this world.

Woo hoo! Glad to see this back! I hope this one has a much better turnout than previous ones. I hate being one of the only entrants for this competition...
...Also, I hope I can actually enter this time... I think I've mentioned this here and there, but my laptop got fired a few months ago. Fortunately, I have a new desktop to work with, but, unfortunately, I got terrible frame rate when I tried to play Minecraft on it... I'll see if I can get it working before December, but I can't make any promises...
Quick (and probably dumb (since it's probably answered somewhere)) question: Does Optifine work with this server, and would it be okay to use for the competition? I was planning on downloading it sometime soon and giving Minecraft a second chance.

jokool : I'm not sure if Optifine works but it's definitely allowed if it does.

I agree though, it's great to see the return of the Minecraft Competitions but it'll be gone again if this lacks competition. I really want to be able to pull off successful competitions again because they were always really fun. I'll try to compete this time but we'll see.

Now that I actually have a Minecraft account, I can participate. I'm really hyped about this and I can only imagine what some people will make with a whopping 3 months time to work on it.

I hope to add a little bit of comic relief with my unintentionally horrible builds. I really hope I don't get third place by default, that would be sad.

I have 2 builds already in WIP. One of which will need to be moved to creative, however, is still a new build since I started working on it earlier on today without knowledge of the competition, and I now have a new use for it

My first one a few people already know about. It'll be comical xP But my second one is a little hush hush until I post it. It'll be epic once I can figure the dimensions. I shall give a hint, another user had given me inspiration to bring back something from the dead.

I will probably make another 3 other submissions, but I still dont know what. They may just be last minute pixel art that will take me a week each. I dunno, I'm sure I'll think of something

I am so pumped to be doing a competition since I have been building a lot more as of late xD

I also really really want that world. I have a good idea for it if I can make it work.

A couple quick questions.... When you said "new creative world" in your opening post, does that mean there's more than one creative world? Also, when you say a submission, is that a single building or could there be multiple builds as part of a submission? A group pixel art characters, for example.

m0ssb3rg935 : There's a primary creative world where these builds are suppose to be built. Getting 1st place means you get your very own world. A submission can be a single build or multiple builds.

I don't know if I'll actually have time to get involved, but I might give it a try.

Davideo7 : Oh, With what you said there, Could I theoretically do a "Before and After" submission where its 2 buildings? Or like a Version 1 and Version 2 as a single submission?

I also would like to say I've scoped out the competition (AKA M0ss and Yoshi) and they saw my build. I gatta say, this will be the competition of the ages. Be prepared xD I honestly think it'll be between me and them, But I dont know the judges. I mean, I do, but I dont know their preference. Which I think is what it will come down to. May the best team win.

If I step into this competition then prepare for a submission of epic proportions...quite literally lol. I'm not saying that I'd win if I entered, mostly saying that I'll give everyone some serious competition.

I'm really excited for this competition though after reading your response. I'm hoping that this gets a lot of great submissions like what we use to see.

Davideo7 : That actually simplifies things for me (The first part) since I wanted to do a V.1 and V.2 but I figured they would have to be separate submissions. That and allows me to build something else. Possibly. Unless in the end I decide my one build is better off by itself in its own submission. But both buildings will be submitted, as one or separate. We'll see, we'll see

I may have run into a potential problem... The project I'm working on uses more horizontal space than it does vertical and I've just about run out of blocks I can claim. My brother has already agreed to claim some land in my name and allow me to use it for when we start getting into the later parts of the build, but if I hadn't had a partner, I wouldn't be able to finish the project. Is there a way you could raise the limit of blocks a user can claim? I wouldn't think it would be too much of a problem since there's plenty of land to go around.

m0ssb3rg935 : I don't think there is a limit on how many blocks a user can claim but users do have to earn how much they can claim.

Low and behold my first submission! Which is funny because its called Project #3.You'd think I would upload in order of what project I was doing, but whatever.

I mean, I would like to consider it 66% new since at least 75% of it was destroyed >> (You can look at the original in the end, im fairly certain a good amount, more than half, was destroyed (You cant even see how bad the bottom part was) and I had to build it back up in creative. With some additives of course. Like making it look end-esque. And some stuff missing) if it isnt, let me know how much you would consider new and I may add it with Project #1 once its finished. Which will take awhile. Bleh.

Okay, So I have decided to do a texturepack, only a small one since im only altering the appearances about 2, maybe 3 blocks and villagers. How exactly do we upload and add that texture pack to show you on a post? Or, where is somewhere we could upload them to link them here?
