Diaz/McGregor III will happen.

I hate to be all conspiracy theorist, but anyone with two eyes, could probably have seen that Diaz beat McGregor in that second fight. It wasn't even honestly all that close. McGregor won two rounds (one barely), and Diaz won three rounds (two by significant amounts).

They were talking about Diaz/McGregor III before Diaz/McGregor II even happened. The only way a trilogy makes sense is if McGregor wins. You don't get third fights when a fighter has so utterly outclassed the other. I'd grab you proof of discussion about it, but it's late, and I'm tired, and don't think it's honestly important, anymore, since the deed has been done.

Following this logic, it would follow that a third fight between the two, would potentially box even more than either of the first two fights (spoiler alert, both boxed a s*** ton of money). I don't see why UFC wouldn't spring for a third fight, unless they were scared of Nate Diaz beating McGregor three times in a row (McGregor is their golden boy, they can't have him lose, now). There's just too much money to be made, especially when you consider how controversial the decision in the 2nd fight was. It just breeds more anger, resentment, and hope that McGregor gets his teeth kicked in. That's just how the typical fan feels.

As for Nate Diaz, the second fight's ending may make him come out in the third fight with the desire to completely take off McGregor's head, which is something in the realm of possibility, considering how McGregor looked at the ends of round 2 and 4 in the latest fight (for those who didn't watch, he was basically completely out of it, and to see the ref wave it off would NOT have been at all surprising).

McGregor broke his foot. His next fight has to be against Aldo. After that, depending on the result, he almost has to take the Diaz fight.

I'll just say this now.

The only ways a Diaz/McGregor III fight doesn't happen are this:

1. McGregor continues to stick to his "rules". After his "win", he basically said that Diaz has to drop weight to fight him, as if he had won both fights and was in position to be making demands.

2. UFC bosses are scared of Diaz winning again. There's reasonable suspicion, even if someone disagrees, that the fight should have ended differently. That reason is enough to believe that this is a viable reason for why a fight wouldn't happen.

3. Diaz gets suspended for that vaping bulls*** forever, partially because of the reasons outlined in 2.

That fight was so amazing. The best fight I've seen in years. But that result was probably the worst decision I've seen since Trump/Clinton.

In the second match Mc Gregor won clean  3 rounds and lost 2. For me will be 3 match and McGregor will win again because is much better then Diaz. Diaz is nothing compare with McGregor.

It just boils down to: Diaz won first match, McGregor won rematch.

Who is the better fighter? Unknown unless there is a Diaz vs. McGregor 3 (highly unlikely).
