Never really done a round robin or even heard of it. So I prefer the preliminary round before it starts. Though I an fine will whatever is chosen.

I voted preliminary round because I'd rather not have to do a round robin. We had to do that in the Bomberman 94 Tournament, and that week was humiliating for me to say the least. I feel much better about my Pokemon skills, don't get me wrong, but just thinking about the idea brings up bad memories.

The votes are completely tied at 4-4 so I guess I'll act as the tiebreaker then and vote for the preliminary round. Not because I particularly prefer it, I actually think doing a round robin could be cool. However this actually gave me the idea of possibly doing a future tournament that would be more like a league in a round robin format, which would be a bit more elaborate than a standard knockout tournament. Hence I figured it's better saved for the next tournament whenever that ends up happening in stead of doing half of each.

Now since an extra preliminary round is being done that means we could use a volunteer. So anyone up for facing me in an extra round? If you lose you'll be knocked out, but if you win you'll win 10000Viz straight up and it's a good way to show off your Pokemon skill early in the tournament if you're feeling confident. If no one is up for it I'll just randomize whoever gets to face me. Or if more than one of you are up for it you'll get to face eachother in stead. Anyway I thought I'd ask this first since it seems like it would be more fair to you guys.

I'll volunteer. I won the last Showdown tournament you did, but I never got to play against you. I'd like to get that chance this time.

I agree that a league-based tournament could be a good idea in the future, so better save the round robin for the time where it's our only way of playing. Let's see who gets to win the preliminary round so the games can begin.

So gamer ended up winning in what was a fairly close battle and ends up winning the 10000 Viz. Looks like I'll sit this one out. I'll start the first round tomorrow.

me and RDay13 had our match today. he ended up with some legendaries while I didn't have any, I did manage to get a bunch of Pokemon that know protect and one special Klefki that knew substitute.

gamerforlifeforever : Congrats on the win! You beat me pretty bad, lol. On paper, I feel like I had the better team, but you managed to use your team pretty well and beat me pretty soundly. I actually thought I might have a comeback in me when my Gyarados KO'd your ice/rock thing (I forgot the name lol). Then, I saw the mighty Lord Blastoise and knew my time was coming to an end . Good luck in the rest of the tournament. You better win the whole thing (so my loss looks a little better ).

Rday13: That's what I thought too. I was not confident about my team at all at the start of the match, but once I started dealing a lot of damage to your legendaries, that's when I knew I could win. In case you were wondering, my final Pokemon was Arbok.

I am available from 12-1 PM server time to 6:30 PM server time. Then its really questionable to when ill be back, but should be sometimebefore 9:30 PM server time, or a tiny bit after. This will be for everyday and is a new time constraint for me so bear with me if i'm a few minutes late if its close to the start or end of a time contraint xP

Fyredove : I can probably battle you about 4 to 4:30 PM, which falls under your times so I'll be there.

Our match happened today, a few minutes ago actually. The end result was a somewhat landslide by me But I think he still got pretty lucky with his Lightning rod ability on his Seaking as well as some of the type matches xD Good game!
 I had a Sudowoodo and... something else left that would've been terrible against a fighting type.

I can't believe my luck today! If you get a Rayquaza, you almost automatically get the win. This sure makes up for last tournament. (I'm looking at you, RDay).
