This is more than likely going to sound lame, but my favorite board games are Scrabble and Sorry. Even though it is always difficult trying to find someone to play scrabble with, I've always enjoy the concept of forming words out of the tiles given to you. In conjunction with the actual board game, I also play the mobile app Words with Friends which features a different board setup, but is essentially the same game.

Sorry is a game I played with my family a lot while growing up. Unfortunately, I never learned to play chess (although I'd really like to learn how to play someday) and I've only played monopoly once. Nonetheless, these are my favorite board games.
