tRIUNE : I find that flawed. Have you ever really seen anyone from the LGBT community be offended by straight couples?

If you have then i'm surprised because I've never seen it.  The way you worded that (to me anyway) you made it seem like most LGBT people take offense to straight couples, which just isn't true.


Also for the record I guess I only believe in heterosexuality because it makes more sense to me, but I'm not offended by homosexuality or whatever.

tRIUNE : I'm assuming you "take offense" to offense to same sex relationships because you're Christian. I understand that you don't believe in LGBT stuff, but you don't need to go out of your way to put down people different from you. Like Kimmy and ima said, I have yet to meet anyone who condemns people of opposite sexes kissing  besides 7 year old boys and girls.

There is a reason every country has prisons and police, they are there to punish people like this. 
But your post also made me think of something: What if a woman hits you first? Are you allowed to hit back? Some people think that's out of the question, but I myself think it's fair if she hit first, as long as you don't do anything worse you are still on equal ground.


Anyways, defining manliness isn't easy. A lot of people gave some good examples so far, but you could say that some of these things could very well be good things for women to do. I myself see manliness as being honest, protecting those around you, being able to admit your wrongdoings and being able to show emotions. 


tornadocam : Aside from "and he tries to set an example by following the Lord", all other things you mentioned could count for people with other beliefs as well, so I think that other people who aren't Christian like myself can relate to your thoughts.

The police are inept in some places. Now if a woman hits you first,try to walk away,but if she persists,then defend yourself. I personally would not hit women and there are many women that use that fact to egg a man on to strike her.

I worked at a bar where a couple came in after work and they had a few beers and sat in a corner table. Then they made out for 15 minutes before going home. It was ridiculous. Maybe they were new to relationships but I, as a straight dude, was like, "Yuck."

I had an extremely gay coworker named Drew who saw them for the first time and he was like "Yuck."

PDA is fine, except for the kissing. I don't need to see anyone do that.

Hm… This is an extremely difficult question, but I'll sum up my opinion in one sentence: Manliness is simply what it means to be a man, and it is up to each person to decide what that means.

To me, it is more important to be a decent human being than to be "manly," but then we'd have to answer the question of "what do we define as being a decent human being?" lol

I'm afraid you're asking some rather impossible and vague questions this time around. ^^0

I think its one's ability to not only take care of themselves but others as well.
