Do y'all believe Venus could've been like this at one time?

I found a very interesting article that says our near twin planet, Venus, used to be covered in a shallow liquid water ocean. And to me, it does make sense, with Venus being so hot. The shallow ocean probably evaporated and covered the planet in clouds and that's why it got so hot, but that seems a rather pedestrian type of explanation. It also makes you wonder why our oceans wound up so deep and Venus' oceans, if it had any wound up shallow. Anyway, do y'all think Venus could've been like this at one time? Science is one of the coolest things humans ever invented. We can point a bunch of mirrors up at the sky and see galaxies as they were however many thousands or millions of year ago. We can tell what elements are out there in space and we answer a lot of questions with math. It's awesome.

If someone notable says Venus could have been described as in the article, then "Yes, I believe Venus could've been like that at one time."

Anything could have happened. The universe is a wonderful, diverse place, and I'm sure our understanding of physics is extremely elementary at this point. Humans aren't even that good at hydrodynamics, must less what may or may not have happened on planets we've never set foot on a mellenia ago.

Thank you for sharing that article. I enjoy the scientific read and even if I only comprehend 80% of it, I still think, "Cool."
