Websense. the common and annoying program that goes into a web server and prohibits anything it deems uneccessary. now sure, myspace and facebook and other social networking sites arent needed but i like to play a good internet game every now and then. it bothers me to death that when you find a good site that isnt blocked, it will stay unblocked for a little bit and then admins will discover it and ban it. fortunately, through google at school i stumbled across this plethra of awesome. luckily for me and my friend dylan (a.k.a. kobyashie) it was unblocked. as you may know, what sites are blocked and what aren't are strictly school related, meaning they vary by school. there are some more uncommon sites, however, that remain unblocked for most schools. if you can think of any of these types of sites (blogs are more likely to be unblocked) please post a link. thank you.

It's also to protect computers from getting viruses or if anyone is looking at, well you know.

Well ya thats understandable. but you have to suck or be desperate to look at... well... the inappropriate stuff at school. and i mean they should open up certain sites, such as learning sites and educational games. maybe even occasionally a game site that is deemed appropriate.

Games should be blocked... you have no good reason to be playing them during school. School is for learning... learn something!

Well they are hypocrites, if games are not allowed in school then why is there gym? What educational purpose does that provide more then playing computer games?

School is just one big game, each grade is a level, the teachers are the bosses. Luckily, anyone can pause the game anytime they want and say, this game blows I'm out of here just like I did

Really? Are you that stupid or are you joking?

Gym is far more important than playing games on computers.... Gym teaches lots of things. Teamwork, hand eye coordination. It also gets kids off their asses and gets them exercising which most kids don't do nearly enough of.

EDUCATION is what we are talking about not exercise, it is fact that games are better at helping kids learn then by reading some cheesy decade old text book that makes kids unfocused and fall asleep.

Not my problem, I didn't invent the school system. I know its flawed and that is why I quit it. And they wonder why school sucks so bad, they are just hypocrites, old teachers trying to shove outdated and useless information into the minds of our future.

We are living in a tech period, blocking other methods of teaching such as through games is what is stupid. I'm sure kids would have more fun learning if they were not so censored on one ideology that games are extremely bad for children.

If a question is in the form of an insult like yours "Are you stupid or is this a joke?", it is not a question but rather a insult because either way I answer that question your saying my idea is a joke or I'm stupid. You only used a question mark to escape your insult, nice try but you failed.

Next time you want to insult someone try not using question marks to make them look like questions.
