This enemy looks like a yellow bee (with wings, even though you can’t tell by the picture), and it drops bombs from the area where it’s stinger would probably be located in the hopes that it will either hit X or explode on him. After a while it decides to just leave though. It is found in the Intro Stage near where the breaking highway is, and in Chill Penguin’s Stage near the beginning. It also appears in the remake. It takes multiple pellets to take out from my recollection.
