I have a question about saving games.  I know that you press the f2 key, and it saves, but can you save multiple slots?  For instance, I am playing Valkyrie Profile, and I have had to start over three times now because I mess up, and since I can only save it on one slot, that I know of, I have to start all the way over from the beginning.  If I could save different parts of the game to different slots, then I would not have to start ALL the way over if I mess up again.  Thank you for your time and advice on this.

Valkyrie's Profile is a PSX game, and from what I can tell, on PSX games (at least on here) you can only save with memory cards. Is there a multiple save slot option in the game? If not, then you can't save on multiple slots :/.

However, on other systems I believe that they have an actual save slot system that has multiple save slots.

When using the Mednafen emulator, you can press ctrl + # to switch between slot 0 - 9 , giving you 10 slots to choose between for each game. Each slot saves and loads individually, so it becomes extremely handy when saving your progress as you go with multiple files. If you haven't been using Mednafen up to this point, you'll ( probably ) have to start over, as I don't think there's a way to carry saves over from one emulator to another, but I know for a fact that one works this way.

Also while using Mednafen, pressing F1 will give you a run down of all the many options that are provided within the emulator, such as changing controls or going full screen as well.

Mynamescox44 :   I did actually figure it out going through the F1 screen.  At first I hit ctrl+n and nothing would happen, but holding ctrl+n+the save slot number worked and opened another window that gave me 0-9 option.  Thank you very much for replying, and thank you for the help
