Well, to be honest, I've never even heard of it until now, but it does look pretty awesome from what I just looked up online lol.

I knew there were events and competitions for the game, but I didn't realize there was an actual "Con" ( or convention for those who don't know the lingo ) that was dedicated entirely to Smash alone. I would love to try my hand at the competitions and see how well I would do, even if I ended up placing dead last lol. I'd definitely need to brush up on my skills and break off all the rust that's accumulated over the years ( considering I have not played any Smash games after and / or since Brawl when it was still fairly new to the Wii lol ).

I can't really say I'm excited for it or anything, since there's no chance of me probably ever being able to attend it, but I would love to if given the opportunity lol.

There are conventions for everything, it seems. And that's good because people can find others who really enjoy the same things they do. I'm all about meeting up with other people no matter what you like, unless it's illegal, then don't do it.

SmashCon strikes me as another video game convention. It sounds like it's fun to the folks who it appeals to. They're going to go get dressed up or take pictures with dressed up people and they're going to enjoy themselves. Cool.

Am I excited? No. I have zero interest and I won't go to one unless I'm invited by a friend. It would be interesting to see from the perspective of an outsider but otherwise, nah. I'll pass.
