I tried opening the save file with my visual boy advance with the ROM, but to no avail, there was no administration access to using the file. The save file I tried to run was indeed my last one from Vizzed which was saved onto my Progam data opening on the ROM with the emulator worked but actually loading the save didn't work. Anyone know a way how to fix this problem? The game I'm trying to play is Pokemon hard edition 1.03, it isn't available on play-rom.com so I await something to fix before I can play this game again. Unless Nintendo yields the cease and desist order on Vizzed I will not be able to play this ROM again with my save. The only way I know to to play this one again is to either use David's tutorial video on how to load ROMs with Vizzed which again I was unsuccessful with or someone suggesting how I can get administration access to those type of files, and I'm starting to believe only David has this access.

If you're referring to getting your save data from the RGR folder in ProgramData, then yes, you will have to have administrative permission. Fortunately for you, my brother actually showed me a program that lets you take ownership of any files on the drive, and that includes the system files, so be very, very, VERY careful what you take ownership of and fiddle with. I'll see if I can find the installer and upload it.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, though... I could've been doing something wrong, but I didn't have any success loading my Vizzed save data with external VBA. You'd likely be better off just using the ROM loading feature, which I can help with if you're having trouble.

Local Mods : Also, I feel this belongs in the RGR forum instead.

m0ssb3rg935 : I was able to run the game using Vizzed, but I was unable to run the save using F4; unfortunately, I'm going to have to get administrative access to run from the last save. I tried putting the save file from my programdata into the Vizzed emulator, but it failed to and gave me an error. I'll find that find the upload very useful if you can find it. I'd try looking at your previous downloads, and history to find out what the download was. Thanks for the help.

Here's the download link. After running the installer, the "Take Ownership" option will be available in the context menu. You'll probably have to take ownership of the whole Vizzed directory for it to work.

m0ssb3rg935 : I have to say that you really saved my save file. I managed to retrieve the save and make a couple of saves to be on the safe side. I must say that program you gave me really saved me in a pinch. Thanks a lot.

No problem at all. I'm glad I could be of some help. I really can't take any credit because it was my brother, yoshirulez! on the site, that used it to help me get rid of the forced Win10 update. Do you think you'll need this thread left open, or should I have it closed?

Well, I'm glad your brother found this tool. I no longer see the need for the thread to be open. You may close it as you wish to.
