I mostly deal with EpicLarpArmory when it comes to shop awesome stuff for LARP events. I take part in a LARPing organization which creates such events as a Live Action RolePlaying weekend. I recently discovered how much fun it was to use some bow and arrow in a fight, but we only have two bows available for our whole organization (from 10 to 15 people). I was thinking about purchasing such a bow as this one. The draw weight is around 25 lbs which is quite the maximum that is allowed mostly everywhere I go. It looks as if it was made of wood, but it is in fact made of fiberglass.

Here are the complete specs from the website :

"Key Features:
Made of Fiberglass - Very Durable
Has a Great, Wood-Grain Finish
Includes a String and a Bow Bag
Comfortable Leather Grip for Righties and Lefties
Great for IDV And Other LARP Arrows
Has a 24-26 lb Draw Weight at a Draw Length of 28 inches

Measurements:
Height: 63 inches"

Here is where you can find the product on the Web : http://store.epiclarparmory.com/products/wooden-larp-longbow?taxon_id=85

Do you think I missed some other great bows for LARPing that would be as good or better? What are your thoughts?

NorweAstafar : Former LARPer here. Back in my day, we used foam weapons - and hotel management still called the police.

I'm convinced you found the best bow for your needs.

Similar bows I looked up were over $200, under 50inches long, or 'for personal collection only' which indicates to me it won't stand up well to weather or actual use.
